10/07/2011
The fifth edition of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V), to be published in May 2013, is one of the most important psychiatric research studies of this decade. Sparky has been asked to serve as the collaborating investigator for DSM-V field trials and he will put forward six recommendations.
Sparky will propose:
- That Family Psychopathology should be a mental illness.
- The new diagnosis of existential despair, which may or may not have nihilism as a component.
- The diagnosis of Toxic Aged.
- The diagnostic category of Health Rejecting Complainer.
- A diagnosis of Parental Alienation Syndrome.
- The non-pathological existence of polyamory.
